Roosevelt Island Summer Shakespeare Camp For Kids At Main Street Theatre & Dance Alliance

The Main Street Theatre & Dance Alliance (MST&DA) is offering Shakespeare Camp for kids in August. According to MST&DA: Shakespeare for Kids Camp Ages 6+ This camp will focus on various approaches to acting Shakespeare’s verse, with the aim of bringing the actor closer to the text. Students will explore text from a technical approach (including iambic pentameter, rhetoric, punctuation, etc) to personal connection (e.g., imagery and character) in an age appropriate way giving students a better understanding of the literature. Camp is Monday through Thursday from 9am-4pm and Friday 9am-3pm with a final performance for parents and invited guests at 2:30pm. View this post on Instagram You can register here.
