Someone made this sign on the street. I run at least 2 times a week in the island so I'm sure this is recently made. I wonder who made this and how this system works! I know the full loop of the island is over 6K but I couldn't. find where the starting point of this is, which will be helpful for me
There's a running group called "Roosevelt Island Runners." They run every Tuesday at 7pm (at Eleanor's Pier) I think you might be able to find the answer from them
