Fourth of July Fireworks NOT Visible from Roosevelt Island This Year

Dear Roosevelt Island Community: RIOC is advising residents and visitors that Roosevelt Island will NOT serve as a viewing location for this year’s Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks celebration. According to Macy’s, this year’s fireworks barges and viewing areas will be concentrated in Lower Manhattan, placing the display outside the visible range of Roosevelt Island. As a result, there will NOT be a ticketed fireworks viewing event at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park this year.
