Subway — M, F and R
Roosevelt Island station is mid-island. The M runs weekdays, the F evenings and weekends, the R weekends. Same fare.
NYC Ferry
The Astoria route stops at Roosevelt Island year-round ($4), linking Astoria, LIC, Midtown (E 34th) and Wall St.
Free Red Bus
A free shuttle loops the island every 8–15 min — hop on to reach the far tips.
On foot
It's small: ~12 min to the south parks, ~25 min to the north tip.
