Now that the Landings have residents paying electricity separately from rent, what have you been seeing for your monthly bills?
We were shocked to see a bill of $720.15 for our most recent July statement. Wondering if this is something other residents are seeing. We have a one-bedroom space on the fourth floor above the laundry room and we keep the two supplied Friedrich A/C window units set to Cool, Auto, and 76 while home and turn them off when not home. Our living room thermostat showed an approximate temperature of 78 throughout the month of July. One of our units seemed to not be pushing out cold air last year and we had it replaced, but the replacement doesn’t seem to be faring any better. We’ve had maintenance come by to confirm it isn’t working properly, but we’ve been ghosted to follow-up emails for a few weeks now. We’ve been advised to have somebody come by to check the meters, and are checking who exactly that would be.

You should join the resident association groupchat and email list, all of these are common issues from residents. For the air conditioner it’s likely the sleeve that is installed in the wall that the air conditioner is inside of that needs to be replaced. Resident association website: rlra.notion.site
My God that's high. I'm not a resident of this building...yet. However, I'm relocating and was looking at the Landing as an option. What's your honest experience so far here? Would you recommend it? I've seen some concerning reviews regarding the place as recent as last month: brown water, no heat, high package theft. And now this? That's insanely high for a one bedroom. I hope more residents share what their bills are. How are people supposed afford that on top of record high rental rates?
I moved out of the Landings in no small part because the electric bills were insane. NY electric bills are already crazy, but the Landings seems to have been at a whole other level.
